Terms of service

The sleep plan is delivered through the following steps:

  1. We will have a first 20-minute introduction video meeting/call, to get to know each other and clarify any questions or concerns you might have about my approach. This first call is always FREE.

  2. I will send you the Sleep Questionnaires for you to complete. The information you provide will allow me to create a personalized sleep plan for your child and your family.

  3. Private Virtual Consultation: We will meet via Zoom/Skype/Videocall for a 90-120 minute in-depth review of your personalized sleep plan.

  4. Personalized follow-up support as you implement your sleep plan (type of communication dependent on package purchased).

  5. Sleep Log: You will be supplied with a Sleep Log, via Google Drive, which is to be filled in daily with the details of your child's sleep. This helps me track progress and help you troubleshoot as needed. (the Sleep Log option is only included in the Full evaluation package).

 

PERSONALIZED FOLLOW-UP SUPPORT DETAILS

 

Our first follow-up phone call will be booked a week after our consultation. Remaining follow-up calls will be booked depending on how things progress.

If I cannot reach you for some time/you miss a follow-up phone call, I will assume things are going well, and no additional support is needed. If you need to contact me via email, please feel free to do so anytime, and I will respond as soon as I am able to, within my business hours.

BUSINESS HOURS

​

I'm available for calls Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm (Japan Standard Time).

I might occasionally be available for weekend calls, if requested with time.

For the support options that include a live sleep log: The sleep log will be checked at least once a day during weekdays, and at least once a day during weekends and Holidays depending on the circumstances.

EMAIL SUPPORT

 

If the plan you have selected includes email support, you may message anytime! I will answer your text messages as soon as I possibly can, during my business hours. 

(My response time is less than 24 hours from Monday to Friday, or 48 hours on weekends and holidays).

GUARANTEES

​

I cannot guarantee 100% that your child will sleep through the night or that the sleep challenge will be solved completely, in every case. This is because children are individuals and not machines, and because sleep goals should always be in harmony with your child's developmental stage, temperament and capacities.

​

The most important factor in success (whether you’re troubleshooting a sleep issue or making a change in a child’s routine or environment) is having a firm plan in mind and staying consistent. Once you have a plan set in place and boundaries named that you want to follow through with, sticking to these boundaries and following the plan as consistently as possible can lead to big changes! One of the most confusing and frightening things for a child is inconsistency. Psychologists refer to inconsistency as “intermittent reinforcement”, and it means that sometimes you give in and sometimes you don’t. This behavior will make things harder on your child, which will then makes things harder on you. It is also often the cause of the crying that most parents are desperately trying to avoid, as children can’t understand why their parent’s responses are different each time.

Children are not meant to be fully independent from us, not when they are born, nor as they grow up. Instead of independence, I invite you to consider the term "inter-dependence" and keep an open mind for the stages and moments when your children will need you by their side.

 

PAYMENT & CANCELLATIONS

  • Payments will be made through Paypal (Japan and other countries) or Bank transfer (Spain).

  • Payment of the invoice must be done before the consultation.

  • If you wish to cancel after purchase, and the scheduled consultation is less than 48 hours away, 50% of your payment will be refunded. There will be no refund if the cancellation happens less than 24 hours before the scheduled consultation.

  • No cancellations or refunds will be made once the consultation has been made. If cancellation of a personalized sleep plan package is made following a full sleep consultation, and a sleep plan has been sent, no refund will be issued either.

  • Oyasumi bebé reserves the right to cancel Consultations at short notice due to personal or unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancelling, the Client will be offered a full refund or alternative dates if preferred.

 

DISCLAIMER

  • My advice is not intended to be a substitute for medical opinion or treatment. The advice you receive from the Sleep Consultant aims to address common early childhood sleep issues that are unrelated to medical conditions.

  • Always seek the advice of your doctor or other qualified health practitioner regarding any matters that may require medical attention or diagnosis, before following the advice and using the techniques described in the Sleep Consultant program. Reliance on any information provided by the Sleep Consultant is solely at your own risk.

  • The Sleep Consultant does not make any representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding consulting services provided. the Sleep Consultant liability (if any) is limited to the consulting fee paid by you, and in no event will any members of the Sleep Consultant's team be liable to you for any other claim, losses or damages. I knowingly and voluntarily agree to waive and release Oyasumi bebé from any and all claims of liability or demands for compensation that I may acquire during my time working with Oyasumi bebé.

  • The advice given by the Sleep Consultant aims to help get your child sleeping through the night and napping well. The level of success for your child is heavily dependent on following the sleep program developed for your child by the Sleep Consultant. Failing to follow the customized sleep plan, or only using only some elements of the plan, will reduce the likelihood of success for your child.

  • The customized sleep plan provided to you by the Sleep Consultant is meant for your child, and it is not meant to be shared with a third party as a sleep plan for another child.

  • Any changes you make to your child's sleeping or eating routines are your decision. The Sleep Consultant may make suggestions for changes, but you are responsible for choosing to implement them.

REFERRALS

 

  • If there is a requirement to do so, I may suggest to seek support from other professionals or therapies, or I may recommend seeing your GP, or suggest breastfeeding support.

  • Please remember that the aim is to address all influencing factors. I will refer you if I feel there’s a valid need to do so and there are barriers that need specialist support.
